FAQs

Is the IWK idea-creating methodology a “black box” process ?
Each method/tool is fully presented to the Client at each step in the process.  Clients are welcome to actively use any tool with us – both in the field and lab phases.

What is different about the IWK process ?
IWK methods and tools allow us to quickly/efficiently identify core consumer driver and behavior patterns that key success both within the category and in selected outside comparison-categories. These “behavior patterns” then become the fabric of new-idea breakthroughs.

Can you train our team ?
Yes.  IWK can coach/teach you and your team in each phase of the project through presentations and in-field hands on instruction.

What can Clients do to increase project success ?
Provide a clear/concise summary of the situation and the specific fundable scope and scale of the desired outcomes. Note: this sounds obvious, but it is the first, most important step in the project. In particular, realistic fundable investment spending is vital to the project constraints and innovation scale and direction.

How long does it take to complete a project ?
Projects range from 4 weeks up to 10-12 weeks or longer, depending on the scale/scope/objectives and the project deliverables. Timelines for Prototyping and Commercialization phases vary significantly and are quoted for each specific project.

What is the cost of a New Concept Creation or Existing Product Re-Invention project ?
Depending on desired outcomes, scope and level of necessary granularity, projects range from under $10,000 to $100,000+.  After IWK identifies Client Objectives/Scope/ Scale, a detailed proposal will be presented for Client review.
